For Retreats and Events organised by MaryAnn Voli of Quinta Marugo:

Booking your spot in a Retreat:

We require a 50% deposit in order to secure your space or the amount declared for each retreat. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable if paid less than thirty (30) days before the beginning of the retreat.

If paid more than thirty (30) days in advance please see below in cancellations.

The rest of the 50% is to be paid seven (7) days before the beginning of the retreat. Remainder payments are non-transferable and non-refundable. If we don't receive your remainder payments on time as outlined above, we reserve the right to open your reservation to another person.  

In compliance with the Portuguese Law, it is necessary that you send us a copy of an official identification document (Passport, Identification card) before you arrive.

Retreat Cancellations

In case of cancellation more than thirty (30) days before the beginning of the retreat, we will charge you 25% of the deposit, and will convert the remaining into a voucher, valid for 1 year to use in a future retreat or to book a bed and breakfast stay with us.

Any cancellations within the thirty (30) days before the beginning of the retreat will lose the 50% deposit.

If you arrive late or need to leave your retreat early, you will not receive any refund on the remaining time of your scheduled stay.

We reserve the right to remove a participant from the program if their behavior is disruptive to the other participants. In the event of such dismissal, any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Quinta Marugo. No refunds will be made for travel, meal or accommodation packages booked.

For Bed & Breakfast stays:

Reception

Check-in from 15:00

Check-in will only be done with the reservation’s holder, who will have in their possession all passports and/or identification documents of the guests of the reservation.

Early check-in is possible, subject to availability and advance request by email. There may e an extra charge associated, depending on the time of arrival.

Check-out: by 12:00

Late check-out is possible, subject to availability and advance request at the Reception the day before departure. There may be an extra charge associated, depending on the time of departure.

In compliance with the Portuguese Law, it is necessary the presentation of an official identification document (Passport, Identification card) of each person at check-in. Failing to do so, the check-in won’t be able to follow through and the cancellation policy will still be applicable.

Please let us know more or less at what time you will be arriving one day before arrival.

Payments & Reservation Conditions

Once you book your stay, to hold your reservation, you will receive an email with our bank details from Quinta Marugo to make a transfer of 50% of the total amount of the stay.

Payment can be done through debit to a credit card (Visa or Mastercard with 3D secure active) or through bank transfer.

If you need to add a VAT number to the invoice of the prepayment, you must inform us at the time of making the booking.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel free of charge until 3 days before your arrival. You will be charged 25% of the value of the reservation if you cancel within three (3) days before your arrival.
You will be charged the full amount if you cancel 24h before your arrival.

Child Policy

Quinta Marugo is an adults only retreat and boutique hotel venue, so no children are allowed.

Cleaning services

Cleaning of the rooms is performed daily. Change of towels and bed linen will be done every 7 days due to our water preservation ethos (see our sustainable page).

Meals

All our meals are vegetarian, using mostly local and seasonal produce from our farm or neighbouring farms.

1.    Breakfast: Served between 8 and 10 am

2.    Lunch and Dinner will be made available in the future with a 24 hour notice from our guests

Opt-in and Opt-out Marketing and newsletters.

When providing personal data and signing up to our newsletter, you can choose to receive information or updates and promotions, which will be communicated bye mail.

Receiving this information is optional and requires explicit consent. The consent can be revoked at any time, through the management of the user’s profile or by contacting us directly and we will send a confirmation of your choices to receive no more information from us.
