"Obsessed with health, wellbeing and the inextricable connection between the health of people and planet led Brittany along her own health and healing journey. As a yoga and pilates teacher alongside being a holistic health and dharma (soul purpose) coach, her journey started at the age of three-years-old when she took her first gymnastics class. Gymnastics became a way to feel free and express her energy, which quickly evolved into a love affair between herself and movement as medicine. Like many other young girls it was her dream to go to the Olympics. She became utterly determined to be the best and in pursuit towards perfection she developed extremely unhealthy eating habits and an abusive relationship between food and her body; creating an all or nothing narrative to her training and eating. She had fallen into a self-perpetuated loop of restriction, overtraining, deprivation, binge; a pattern of constant undoing that almost destroyed the sensitive, innate connection of trust and respect between herself and her body. Fast forward 6 years from her last gymnastics competition, and her unkind habits towards herself continued to follow into her other personal endeavors, expressing themselves in different facets of her life and she knew something had to change.
After working in the luxury spa and wellness industry for over 7 years, the epitome of "self-care" & "self-love", she found that while those are extremely beneficial treatments to have, the source of her wounds and healing went much deeper. Completely burnt out, yet having this inner knowing that she was capable of and meant to share so much more with the world, she finally began to reconnect to her body, Mother Nature, and listen to her own intuitive guidance system. While living and working in Hong Kong for four years, her perspective began to shift from an individualized "western, modern" way of doing to a more connected "eastern/ancient" way of being. Following that intuitive voice led her to move to The Netherlands, where her healing journey with plant medicine began. Her experience with, devotion to and continual learnings from Pachamama have shifted her perspectives on life and have provided her the space to observe, cultivate, nurture and heal her own internal landscape. Her reliance on unhealthy self-punishing disciplines and limiting beliefs slowly started to give way to more loving and nurturing practices of devotion towards herself, one another and Mother Earth, reaffirming her strong belief that healthy people help to create a healthy planet and vice versa.
Through her own series of transformations she was finally ready to share such beautiful practices and subtle shifts one can make to feel more connected, living in alignment with their dharma, to embody the highest version of themselves, and live in service of something greater, living a life full of meaning and purpose. Brittany continues to integrate the lessons, teachings, and inner awareness of her own healing journey to share her medicine and help support others along their personal health and healing journeys.”
